I have been trying to finish up some of the home projects up that I am in the middle of . . .
But first here is something that wasn't on my radar until my mum found an amazing cabinet guy! (He has done lots of work for the Barclay Butera homes and showrooms). I had him over the other day to price out a built-in window seat at our bay window in the dining/living room area and a built-in cabinet for our bedroom that would serve as a place to "hide" the TV and give us extra storage. Here are the initial drawings he sent over . . . I want it really simple and although I might tweak the TV cabinet one a bit I am loving the simplicity of them.
I finally replaced the old hardware on my credenza with these gold beauties. Originally I was going with something a little more unique (read here) but the more I thought about it, I felt that I wanted the spotlight to be on the actually beautiful tigerwood credenza and not the cabinet handles. I ordered these round bar pulls and I am so happy with them. They add just enough without overpowering the piece.
I'm almost finished spraying my new cane back "score" chairs (read here) in glossy black with my new favorite glossy spray paint - Valspar Gloss Spray Paint (I got mine at Lowes)
Oh and thanks to all my Instagram peeps who helped me to chose this fabric for the seat covers: I ordered it yesterday! So excited to get it and take them to the upholsterer!
